PM Oli opens province-level Children’s Festival

Damak, Jan 31 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the day will never come when we will have to worry about the country. 

Reiterating that the government was actively at work focusing on the agenda of the prosperity and development of the country, he said the day will now not come when anyone would have to be concerned about the country’s future. 

“The government has worked vigorously in all sectors. So, the day will not come when one has to be worried about the country,” the Prime Minister said while inaugurating the Province-level Five-day Children’s Mega Festival here today. 

He said Nepal would take a leap forward in terms of development as the only mission of the present government was development and prosperity. The PM added that the government was moving ahead with a clear vision and mission towards fulfilling the country’s needs, pointing out the need of unity among all Nepali to march ahead on the great journey of development and prosperity. “Nobody should be an obstacle in achieving the country’s common goal,” he stressed. 

PM Oli described the government’s motto – ‘Happy Nepali and Prosperous Nepal’- as the plan of the entire nation itself and not only the government’s. He said that the country was moving towards a change. 

He said the children’s festival provided an opportunity to expose the hidden talents among the children and supported in highlighting the identity of the province besides contributing to its economic development. 

On the occasion, PM Oli also launched the ‘Damak Municipality Profile’ published by the Damak Municipality. 

Province-1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai called for unity among all for achieving the goal of country’s development and prosperity. 

Deputy Mayor and coordinator of the Festival Organising Main Committee, Geeta Adhikari said the festival will contribute towards making Damal a child-friendly city. Damak Municipality Mayor Romnath Oli presided over the inauguration programme.
 
Minister for Tourism Rabindra Adhikari, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Raghubir Mahaseth and the province government ministers were also present in the inauguration ceremony. 

Cultural tableaux of local community and dances were presented on the occasion. 

The children’s festival will run from 9am to 5 pm daily. Various children’s games, talent shows and competitions would be organised as part of the festival. There are 50 business stalls in the festival. The organisers have estimated that around 100,000 people will visit the festival.RSS
