Home Minister inspects Tatopani area

Chautara, May 25 : Home Minster Ram Bahadur Thapa has made an on-site inspection of dry port and Border Bridge constructed at Larcha in Tatopani of Sindhupalchowk along Nepal-China border today. 

Noting that the operation of checkpoint which has remained closed for long will resume soon, he directed the security agencies' chiefs to not allow any unintended incident including smuggling via the border entry point. Lawmaker Agni Sapkota also accompanied the Home Minister during the inspection. 

The infrastructural development works are taking place in a full swing as part of the preparation for the resumption of checkpoint which was shut following the Gorkha earthquake-2015. 

The task of high-tech dry port is almost complete while border bridge construction is also closer to completion. Engineer Pradeep Niraula informed that the Chinese government was constructing the road stretching from Baseri of Araniko Highway to Border Bridge while the Road Division Office, Dailekh is building the part from border bridge to Barhabise. The installation of Bailey bridge has been carried out over the Sadhi River in Khursanibri of Barhabise, he shared.(RSS)
