Minister Khanal suffers dengue fever

Kathmandu, Sept 6 : Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Chakrapani Khanal, has been admitted to Grande Hospital after he caught dengue fever.

He is attended by the doctors' team led by Binay Regmi. 

Minister Khanal was earlier admitted to Nidan Hospital of Pulchowk after got high fever all of sudden on Tuesday night. He was found infected with dengue after the blood test at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku, according to Bomlal Giri, media expert to the Minister.

Minister Khanal was admitted to Grande Hospital because all beds were occupied at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Giri said, adding that his health condition was normal at present.

Minister Khanal had attended three programmes despite feeling discomfort. In the recent days, Kathmandu Valley itself is reported in high risk of dengue.(RSS)
