17 Persons In Jhapa Test Positive For COVID-19

Biratnagar, May 27: As many as 17 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Jhapa today.

In Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Koshi Hospital Laboratory, 17 persons tested COVID-19 positive, informed Dr Sangita Mishra, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.

The Ministry of Health and Population hasn’t confirmed the additional cases of Jhapa yet.

15 persons of Kechnakawal Rural Municipality and two of Gauradaha, Jhapa were found to be infected with the virus.

With this, number of COVID-19 cases in State 1 has reached 104, including 26 cases of recovery.

According to Gyan Bahadur Basnet, management coordinator of COVID-19 Treatment Centre said that four COVID-19 patients would be discharged today.
