State No 5 govt to provide death compensation to familes of COVID-19 victims

Butwal, June 2 (RSS) : The State No 5 government has announced Rs 100,000 compensation to the families of those dying due to COVID-19. 

The meeting of the Council of Ministers of State No 5 held here today took the decision to this effect, according to Spokesperson Baijanath Chaudhary.

The compensation would be provided from the fund set up for prevention and control of COVID-19 as well as to treat the infected ones in the State.

Similarly, the meeting decided to provide subsidiary worth Rs 1.5 million each to sub-metropolitan cities in Tulsipur and Nepalgunj for purchasing hearse. The hearses will be tasked to manage the dead bodies of those losing their lives to the deadly infection, it was shared.

Furthermore, decision to arrange facilities and services to the health workers and security officers working in forefront during COVID-19 was also made in the meeting, according to Chaudhary, also the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development for State No 5.

The meeting also approved the COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment Fund (Establishment and Operation) Guidelines (first amendment)-2077.
